Rob joined Berkeley in 1994 and has been Chief Executive since 2009. Under his management the company has increased its focus on transforming challenging brownfield sites into welcoming places which support a great quality of life.
Rob oversees an industry leading sustainability strategy, including innovative climate action, nature recovery and social value programmes. He has prioritised investment in digital skills and technologies and modern methods of construction; including the development of Berkeley Modular’s precision manufactured housing system.
Rob has been Chari of Trustees of the Berkeley Foundation since its launch in 2011. This independent charity works in partnership with the Berkeley Group to maximise its positive social impacts and help disadvantaged young people achieve their potential.
Rob contributes to the Bank of England’s Real Estate Forum, is a Trustee of national homelessness charity Crisis and is a member of the governing bodies of Aston University and Marlborough College.
Cllr Claire Kober OBE

London Borough of Haringey
Claire Kober was elected as a Haringey Councillor in May 2006 and became Leader of the Council in December 2008. She first became involved in politics as a student, believing it was the means to achieve change for a better, fairer and more just society. Her professional career has been rooted in the voluntary sector, working in policy roles for a number of national charities.
In her time as Leader, Claire has prioritised improving education outcomes for all children in the borough, wide-scale regeneration and delivering better housing. Claire’s focus will continue to be on securing £1 billion of extra investment in Haringey, building new homes, securing new jobs and providing residents and businesses with new opportunities to succeed.
Claire is the Chair of London Councils – the regional body that brings together the capital’s 32 boroughs to lobby for fairer funding and a better quality of life for Londoners. Claire also represents the region on the London Enterprise Panel and plays a senior role at a national level as Chair of the Resources Board and portfolio holder at the Local Government Association.
Cllr Darren Rodwell

London Borough of Barking & Dagenham
Darren has been Leader of Barking and Dagenham since 2014. He has served as Deputy Chair of London Councils, having been Executive Member for City Development and now as the Executive Member for Housing and Planning. In his current role he has promoted inward investment in the capital via Opportunity London and prioritised the delivery of affordable housing, addressing fire safety, tackling homelessness and reducing the use of temporary accommodation.
Darren is also a member of the Homes for Londoners Board, Arts Council England, the Arts Council for London and the Create London Board and, since May 2023 Chair of the LGA Local Infrastructure and Net Zero Board. He was awarded LGIU Leader of the Year Award in 2019. In 2021, he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Education by Coventry University in recognition of his efforts to expand educational opportunities in Barking and Dagenham.

Lord Kerslake is Chair of Peabody, Chair of Be First (Barking and Dagenham Council’s regeneration company), Chair of Stockport Mayoral Development Corporation, Chair of the London Collective Investment Vehicle (London CIV), Chair of Sheffield Theatres, Chair of Sheffield Hallam University, Chair of the Centre for Public Scrutiny (CfPS), Chair of the New Economics Foundation and President of the Local Government Association (LGA).
In addition to this, he chairs the UK2070 Commission, an independent inquiry into city and regional inequalities in the UK.
Prior to these roles, Lord Kerslake was Head of the Civil Service, Permanent Secretary of DCLG and served as Chief Executive for Sheffield City Council and the London Borough of Hounslow.
